In 1939, Sultana was awarded the Grand Prix Prize of the Internationale de Thessalonique in Greece. The prize not only accredited Sultana watches’ exquisite workmanship and high quality, but also commended its excellent watchmaking tradition. It was an epochal award which has had significant impact on the progress of Sultana watches and advanced the sustainable development vision.

In 2014, Sultana celebrates the 75th anniversary of this award. To commemorate the memorable event, a “Grand Prix 75th Anniversary Automatic Limited Collection” is launched.

The architecture of the Grand Prix 75th Anniversary Automatic Limited Collection puts emphasis on the feeling of distinguishment and the everlasting sense of glamour. Sultana designers, based on this concept, integrated the characteristics of Greek mythology to create this fascinating limited edition.

In the myth of Ancient Greece, Kratos is the god of power, dispassionate and mysterious. The designers translate the characteristics of Kratos into the features of the watch which shows strong personal attractiveness. The open heart at the 12 o’ clock position shows the spiral and mechanism of the automatic movement. The second hand with an engraved eagle, Sultana’s icon, is sweeping like a valorous eagle freely flying toward the sun with courage and confidence. Eight genuine diamonds are applied to the patterned dial as hour index that strengthens the valuableness. The round shape design of the watch is specifically chosen and combined with an attractive rose gold plating to enforce the nobility of the watch. The Genuine leather strap of the watch features a crocodile pattern and is fitted with a stainless steel deployment buckle.

Apart from the see-through case back, a limited collection serial number is engraved on the case back to identify its exclusivity. The limited collection watches are available with black or white dial and each color is limited to 1988 pieces. Each watch is provided with a limited precious wooden box, a booklet with a limited collection serial certificate and a diamond certificate.
